The ESP32 Cheap Yellow Display has a lot of potential to integrate into the EM. On challenge on EMs is that they were never designed “pause”. Unlike modern machines where the ball can be easily held to show the video, EMs just collects score and releases the ball back quickly to the playfield. This however may limit video modes but still allows the display to be used for operator interaction such a sound selection, , scoring, highscore adding, design credits. It does then allow the display to be mounted in a less central locations as the info is not critical to game play. The Cheap Yellow Display has a lot of wiring already done for it. Should be interesting to try.
